Head into Heart

Today I learnt about head knowledge and heart knowledge. My friends saw that I was having a hard time reading my Bible and how I kind of saw it as a sad struggle.

They explained to me that the purpose of head knowledge, i.e. reading of God’s word, is to translate it to heart knowledge; it should seep down into my heart, growing my love for Christ and thriving my relationship with Him.

There would be no point for me to spend time in His word if all I’m doing it for is just to store it up in my head and not let it change my heart and my soul.
