I slept off last night without setting an alarm and I had a 9am class, with readings and assignments I had to finish up before class.
But you ever heard of God’s grace though?
First off, my sister woke me up at 8 am, just because. Like see God! So, I grudgingly barely sat up and was like, ‘8 am? yeah?’ then I shot up so quickly when I realized what had happened.
At this point, I gave up even trying to really rush so much that I would not take my bath. So I decided to bathe, get ready, then with the time I would have left, I would use to finish up my assignments. But something flashed through my mind. God works things together for the good of those who love Him. I think I repeated this to myself twice before proceeding to bathe.
And we know that for those who love God all things work together or good, for those who are called according to His purpose.Romans 8:28 ESV
By the time I was done, I had 15 minutes left to class so I ran and rushed. Sadly, I didn’t end up finishing up the assignment before class but I decided to do it in class.
But guess what? Because he didn’t provide one of the measurements in one of the diagrams of the questions that he gave us, he extended the submission date of the assignment.
SEE THE HAND OF GOD!
My friend even asked me how I knew he was going to postpone it that I didn’t finish it and I’m like, I don’t know gurl, I do not know!
Just when I thought it could not get better, I received an email from my teacher saying that class was cancelled! Her class ran just before the class that I needed to read some literary short story that I was supposed to be quizzed on. Y’all, I had four back to back classes today so if this isn’t the hand of God again, I do not know what is! I do not! So with the one hour break I’m graced with before my literature class, I reread some of the dialogues involved because that was what she said we were going to be quizzed on. I even used this time to eat some food because I was going to need to leave school immediately after my literature class in order to try and make it on time for something I needed to do outside school.
Guess what again? She postponed the quiz to Tuesday and made us watch the movie of the short story we read for the entire class, but that we should be taking notes through it, to compare the movie with the book (just by the way). Like..
Now don’t get me wrong, I am not encouraging indiscipline and lack of diligence, but I’m only showing you the helping hand of God in my helpless, undeserving-of-help situation.
What a wonderful day it was. Even though things went a bit ugly later into the day and I got frustrated and even cried, God still came through and made a way again through things and pacified my heart with the previous joys He had brought to my life.
God is good.
Have a great day loves.
